Guadalupe River Friendsgiving Camp! Fishing, Kayaking, Swimming, Biking!
Details
Come camp, swim, and fish with us at beautiful Guadalupe River State Park! Your RSVP fee covers your entrance and camping fees for the park. We will provide tents, cots/sleeping mats, fishing poles, life jackets, fishing gear, mountain bikes, and kayaks. This is a limited attendance event, so please RSVP asap.
Please check out our waivers, a supplies list and some state park camping tips HERE. You must bring these printed to camp. The first NEO waiver must be printed on a different sheet of paper from the other waivers. Do not print 2-sided waivers.
Your RSVP fee is only $30 a person and includes entrance fees, camping fees, and activity equipment. If you are unable to come to camp for some reason, you may give your spot to someone else or consider it a much-appreciated donation to NEO. If you are RSVPing for a family, please note in the comments how many adults and children will be in your group.
This will be a super fun and exciting weekend camp to enjoy each other's company pre-Thanksgiving in a gorgeous state park, Guadalupe River. We should get to see some beautiful fall colors and spend a ton of time on and in the water. You can mountain bike, swim, fish, and more! I plan to try out some fly fishing while there!
NEO will coordinate activities and give basic lessons on fishing and kayaking. You do not need to have any experience. We will provide tents, cots/sleeping mats, stoves for cooking group meals, campfire and s'mores supplies, life preservers for swimming, fishing gear, kayaks, and mountain bikes. Feel free to bring any of your own gear or tubes and floats if you like. We will provide cots for adults and sleeping pads for kiddos. While many of our events are pet-friendly, please leave pets at home for this one.
Activities will include hiking, birding, swimming, fishing, mountain biking, stargazing, night time scorpion/spider hunt with UV lights, and more! We will provide instruction and safety guidelines for all activities. No outdoor experience is necessary to participate. If you represent a school, church, or youth group that would like to participate, please contact me directly at contact@neoproejct.org.
You may arrive in the park at any time on Friday and just enjoy the park. We will meet at the campsite at 4:00. Friday and Saturday nights, we will make a group campfire and bring out camp stoves and pots to cook dinner as a group. Campers are responsible for bringing their own food and drinks for the duration of camp. You can cook directly in the campfire or on our stoves. We will cook as a group and form a nice community for the weekend.
EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Sunday morning, we will break camp and be packed up by 11:00 AM. If the tents have condensation on them, you must stay to allow the tent to dry completely before packing it up. Once we are packed up, you can choose to enjoy the park for the rest of the day on your own if you like.
To pay your for your RSVP, you can pay $30 via Zelle with no fees through your bank's Zelle payment option on the bank's app or website. Just send your payment to "contact@neoproject.org". Message me when you have made your payment so I can add you to the RSVP list.
You can also pay via credit card or Paypal directly from this posting.
NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED for this event unless the event is actually canceled. If you need to cancel for any reason, you can give your spot to someone else or just consider it a donation to NEO. NEO pays for these events ahead of time and cannot get a refund if you cancel. Thank you for understanding.
