Volunteers - NEO's Education Tent & Spring Plant Sale

NEO has a large community gardening plot at Sunshine Community Gardens, and we have an important role in the annual Spring Plant Sale and Celebration. We will have a booth telling people about NEO, teaching some garden education, and providing some life-size games for families that attend the sale to enjoy.

This is a really fun event with live music, vendors, food, and hundreds of varieties of organically grown herbs, veggies, and native plants that you can't get anywhere else.

Volunteers will get training on the non-profit side of NEO which includes gardening initiatives, outdoor adventure, environmental education, school programming, field trips, and more. You'll also get a coveted super soft and comfy NEO t-shirt! You'll even get the chance to tour our garden, learn a little about some of our plants, and shop the plant sale.

Under photos, you'll find a map of the location. There is a free parking garage nearby and "X" marks the spot where NEO will be. Be sure you tell anyone who asks that you are specifically with NEO. Otherwise, they will put you to work somewhere else.

You can learn more about NEO at www.neoproject.org. You are welcome to attend with your family and children. We will sign verifications for volunteer hours, so high school students are welcome.
