Volunteers! School Field Trip 3 to Brazos Bend State Park

We need some great volunteers to help NEO lead a series of field trips to Brazos Bend State Park and Sheldon Lake State Park. This is field trip 3 of 6. No experience is necessary to participate in this event, and it's a great way to learn more about much of NEO's behind the scenes work.

We will meet students at Brazos Bend State Park at 9:00 AM. Activities will include environmental education opportunities, native wildlife education, a visit to the Nature Center where everyone will get to pet a baby alligator, a hike around the alligator lakes, a picnic lunch, and possibly some fishing.

We need to know who is coming, so if you plan to bring someone with you, please have them join our Meetup group and RSVP for themselves.

Please bring a sack lunch, plenty of water, and sunscreen. You will also want to wear shorts or pants and comfy hiking shoes. Bring a camera, because the wildlife and scenery is stunning! Some great free apps to have on your phone are iNaturalist and Merlin Bird ID.
