Park closes @ dusk, sunset is 8 pm-ish. This park has some nice dirt trails along with an observation platform. Very slight elevation changes along Red Gully and the ever winding Oyster Creek. A trail around the lake passes through Hodges Bend cemetery. Hodges was a part of the "old 300 settlers" of Texas. The 1st grave is 1831, his wife, and the last was in 1942.

I've seen and heard an owl out here, so there's a remote chance to run across one. Ooo, a deer 🦌

If the trails are muddy, we can stay on the paved section and walk the driveway that has forest on each side of it. If they are not too wet, we can test the trails and walk around the puddles, so don't wear your best shoes that might get a little dirty.

Restrooms at parking/trail head.

After the walk/hike, we can grab a bite/beverage. Any ideas, post in the comments section.

There are a # of places around the HEB Hwy 6 @ US 90.

What to bring:
Water
Snack
Bug spray
Comfortable walking shoes
