Bike ride +/-13 miles along paved trail of Sims Bayou and a few neighborhood streets. We will start/finish @ the Hope Farms Urban Agricultural showcase. They open @ 9am. Garden event ends @ 1pm.

After the ride is a hot sauce contest tasting $10

From their website, "WHO MAKES THE BEST HOT SAUCE IN TOWN?

Is it one of Houston’s red-hot chefs or an undiscovered amateur? Recipe for Success Foundation is intent on finding out and will award the winner $500 and a spot on the shelves of the Hope Farms Market for a year. Four judges—all food journalists from Houston will select the winner from among all the contestants in a blind tasting. Five spicy pros are lined up to compete against ten home cooks.
A $10 donation to attend the event can be made online. Click HERE to get your tickets. (Note that children under 10 are free with an adult.) Guests get a taste of all the entries and an opportunity to vote for the Audience Favorite. Saint Arnold Brewing will be offering free beer to anyone over 21 and Hope Farms will have botanical non-alcoholic beverages, music, games and crafts to round out the day’s fun. Ticket holders will be able to purchase additional refreshments and farm-fresh produce."

Before the day of the event, make sure your tires hold air. Check the brakes, lubricate the chain. ***BRING AN EXTRA INNER TUBE ***

Be familiar with changing gears to help with the ups and downs of the trail. Ride as if you are by yourself, look both ways @ cross streets.

No open speaker systems, use one earbud to be aware of announcements of stopping.
