We start off at the historic Sugar Land "Imperial pure cane" sugar mill (Fort Bend county childrens discovery center & Sugar Land heritage foundation, Historic Char House), which was the 1st sugar mill in Texas, founded 1843, 7 years after Texas independence from Mexico 1836. This original plant closed 2003. Headquarters are still located in Sugar Land. The route is paved and runs along Oyster creek, behind the Sugar Land Space Cowboys stadium. It continues behind homes that surround small retention ponds.
Sunset is around 530pm.
No Restrooms at the start or along the route.
After tlhe walk we can grab a bite to eat or a simple beverage nearby, about a mile away. There are a # of places to eat/drink around the HEB Hwy 6 @ US 90.

Flashlight or headlamp (approx 120 lumens) most of the paved trails are lighted
