NEO is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that encourages people of all ages and backgrounds to lead more outdoor-oriented lives for better health, well-being, and resilience. Much of our work is with schools and historically marginalized communities. If you like what we do, please consider making a tax-deductible donation through your bank's Zelle option to "contact@neoproject.org", or become a monthly donor at neoproject.org/donate.
Bike ride +/- 12 miles along mostly neighborhood streets, bike lanes, and paved hike and bike trails. Midway point we will be AROUND the fifa world cup fan festival. Along the way there and back we will see some of the murals scattered about.
I have a few bikes folks can borrow. You must text me to confirm the use of a bike. 713-783-8281.
We ask that a donation, love offering, be made to NEO Project for the use of a bike. ($20 suggested) Add "bike use" to the donation note. We never want participation to be cost prohibitive. Donate if you can. Ultimately we want folks to come together. That donation/love offering, helps NEO help others to live healthier lives.
After the ride, we can get a bite to eat nearby, Noon-1pm. After having lunch, go into (????) the Fan Fest for the World Cup final 2pm. No telling how crowded it could be. (????) Success of getting into the Fan Fest is UNKNOWN. (????)
If you have your own bike (the bike rentals can not be used to ride to the Fifa Fan Fest 2pm World cup final watch party) , the bike ride to Fan Fest from Ironworks is 1 mile, 6 min bike ride. Parking near Fan Fest would be tricky/costly. That's why I'd recommend riding from Ironworks.
No open speaker systems, only use one earbud/headphone. Keep one ear open for alerts.
