Celebrate the Summer Solstice.
Details
Summer is here. So let's celebrate the longest day of the year by going on a short ruck and enjoy the start of summer.
This hike will take place at Cleveland Metroparks: Rocky River Reservation in North Olmsted.
We'll meet at the entrance to the nature center.
We start hiking at 6:35pm. We will ruck the the Wildlife trail loops which are dirt trials.
This hike will be roughly 3-3.5 miles give or take and approx. 3.0 mph.
The trails are mostly flat. However, there are some stairs (not the Fort Hill stairs but the other ones on the backside) and a long downhill slope.
This is a moderate hike, remember you'll be wearing a pack and walking under load.
You can pack you ruck as loaded as you wish, but the general rule of thumb for a hike like this is 5-10% of your body weight. If you don't have a pack thats ok, you can still hike with us.
Beginner friendly, no one will be left behind.
As always - hike at your own risk.
Stay hydrated please.
If you RSVP that you'll attend but will be late, get lost, can't find us or can't make it PLEASE call or text me at 216-8709436
