Monthly JS Meetup Topic: Intro to Node.js

Hello NEPA.js-ers!

Our first presentation of 2017, Aaron Rosenberg and Mark Keith will join forces to give a simple introduction to Node.js, the extremely popular JavaScript platform designed for building scalable network applications. Our talk will include a general overview of Node, where it came from, its benefits, who is using it and a few cool examples in production today. Time permitting, we'll also show you how easy it is to get a very basic "Hello Node!" application up and running. See you then!

At our first meeting, we didn't have much time to get our laptops out and code together, but we're hoping this presentation offers a better opportunity to do a little live demoing/ code-along. So, feel free to bring your laptops!
