This is a group for anyone interested in the prepping lifestyle, from the beginners that are just looking to get started, to the advanced that are already prepared for the worst. I'm starting this group to meet and connect like minded people that understand the need for a group like this in our area. Statistics have shown that in a survival scenario, small groups of prepared and organized individuals with varying skill levels, tend to not only survive longer, but thrive in there environment.
I'm a local business owner of a general construction co. that specializes in disaster response, restoration and reconstruction of residential, commercial and industrial properties effected by fires, floods, bio-hazards and natural disasters. Working in and seeing first hand the effects natural disasters like Hurricane Sandy and last summers flooding in Louisiana and most recently Hurricane Matthews devastation across the Carolinas, has caused my to evaluate my personal preparedness. I've started to realize that the world we live in today is like a powder keg, and the are many threats out there, that can effect life as we know it.
