Our speaker this month is Vanna Zona.

"In all things I do, I am a creator. By day, I’m the Senior Graphic Designer at Net Driven. There, I lead a team of designers in creating innovative mobile responsive websites for the automotive industry. My team and I produce industry-leading designs while fostering a culture that ensures design everywhere in the company is always improving.

"I'll be discussing user experience design and how understanding some of its basic tenets leads to more successful project outcomes. My objective it is to inform how user experience design affects everyone, and how failure to consider its role can have devastating consequences. I will guide you through a series of examples that will help you become more conscious practitioners who will, armed with knowledge and diligence, create better outcomes while avoiding unfortunate ones.

"When I’m not creating at Net Driven, I take on freelance work, something I’ve enjoyed professionally for more than decade. My work spans a wide variety of mediums, which includes design to photography to making handmade books. I found my foothold in the freelancing world mostly thanks to my time spent at Keystone college, where I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Visual Art with concentrations in Graphic Design and Digital Photography."

As always, the presentation will be followed by a Q&A session. Then the group will head over to a nearby establishment to continue the conversation and camaraderie. We playfully call this "Beer Time". Be sure to allocate time for this and bring your business cards if you have them! Typically 50% or more of the attendees show up for Beer Time!
