NEPA Tech: Quantum Computing for the Quantum Curious

Details
The Cat’s Out of the Box and Into the Future of Tech!
A major paradigm shift is on the horizon, akin to the revolution of the 1940s and 50s with the advent of digital computers. As we approach the end of Moore's Law, classical computers can no longer solve the world's most challenging problems. Enter quantum mechanics, the universe's "operating system," which we can harness to build new kinds of computers. This talk will explore why governments and industries are heavily investing in quantum computing. We will let Schrödinger's cat out of the box and introduce the fundamental concepts of superposition and entanglement, discuss the distinction between qubits and classical bits, and examine the current challenges in building fault-tolerant quantum computers. Finally, we will explore the future of quantum computing, both in the near and far term.

NEPA Tech's signature Beer Time™ will be held on-site at Urban Co-Works during the event! Beer time is where we can continue conversation and camaraderie over some drinks. Typically, 70% or more of attendees stick around for Beer Time™.
