NNO Book Club: Death's Legacy

Okay, this month is a little different so PLEASE read the info below.

This month we have been given the opportunity to read a pre-release book by a friend of one of our longtime members which is super cool and something we’ve never done before. BUT, we all know that with great power comes great responsibility so here’s how October 2020 is going to work.

1. You will need to message me (Andrea) on Meetup with your email address.

2. I will email you an agreement to review. You reply with a copy/paste of the agreement, add your name and the date to the bottom, and send it back to me along with your preferred e-book format (.pdf, .mobi or .epub).

3. I will send you the book as an attachment.

What is this agreement you ask?
It’s pretty straightforward. You are being provided a free Advanced Reading Copy/Advanced Review Copy (ARC) under the following conditions:

• Don’t be a dick. No sharing, posting, re-selling, etc. This is a copy for your personal use ONLY.

• Review, review, review. Reviews help us all find new books and authors and they are a huge deal for new authors and new release books. This book is being released in mid-November. While we hope you finish it by the date of book club, we are also asking that if you accept the free ARC, you will commit to posting a review on Goodreads within 7 days of book club (by Saturday, October 17, 2020).

• Amazon does not allow reviews until a book is actually published. This book is scheduled to be published November 17, 2020. I will send out a reminder email. We are asking that you post your review to Amazon within the 1st week the book is available.

• You are free and encouraged to post other places about this book including social media and other book sites.

• You can and should be transparent in your reviews/posts that you received an ARC for review. In fact, Amazon requires this a statement to this fact be in your review.

If you have any concerns about these conditions or aren’t sure if you will be able to finish this book, attend book club and/or post reviews – maybe just sit this month out. Or message me and we can discuss your concerns.
