Now that we’ve brushed up on herps, we’re shifting gears! Next up: Conspiracy Theory Night!
Pick your topic to present. I'm expecting to hear some of the outright ridiculous conspiracy theories, but will also be looking forward to presentations on unclear or uncontested ones with compelling evidence.

How it will work:

  • Resources: No resource list this time- find your rabbit hole.
  • Expectations: Whether you fully deep-dive into a theory and give a powerpoint presentation, OR ask ChatGPT for talking points under the table at the MeetUp before you present, we welcome any level of participation. No need to present if you’d rather listen. This is low-stakes and is intended to be fun. Assuming we have 8-12 participants as with past meetings, shoot for less than 10 minutes to allow adequate discussion and transition times between topics.
  • Preventing duplicates: Message me on the app or text me with your topic. I’ll update the "Claimed Topics" list below as they come in.
  • Set-Up: I’ll plan to bring my portable projector in case anyone wants to run a PowerPoint or show visuals, etc. (Thanks Kevin for the inspiration). More info to come on logistics.
  • Reminder of Ground Rules: While we encourage thoughtful engagement with complex theories—some of which may have roots in sensitive, prejudicial, or uncomfortable beliefs—everyone is expected to uphold our “Group Norms” explained here.
