Nerd Nite Chicago is Empirical Entertainment, night life for people who enjoy using their fat, juicy brains to have a good time. 20-minute, informative presentations on science, history, linguistics, math feuds, zombie insects, Japanese astrodendrochronology... in a bar where we can all hang out together. Learning is more fun when you’re drinking with friends and colleagues
Since 2003 Nerd Nite has been a monthly event held in more than 100 cities across the globe.

Nerd Nite Chicago is One Year Awesome again! To celebrate, for one night only we’re becoming NNChiXL: Extra Lives.
We’re bringing in Extra Lives, the audience-driven choose-your-adventure video game concert experience, and we’re more excited than Archimedes in the bathtub!
- DOORS AT 7:30
- Audacious nerdery starts 8pm, wraps 10pm.
The audience is the main character in this interactive RPG concert by Extra Lives, where live votes determine the course of an original story. With Nerd Nite talks! ## What is Nerd Nite?
It’s Empricial Entertainment. It’s the Discovery Channel live, in a very Chicago bar. It’s a quarterly show of three short (10-15 min) hilarious/informative presentations on almost anything from Dracula ants to wimpy black holes, from the art of breadmaking to the history/science of, well, anything – if it’s nerdy, it’s fair game.
