Nerd Nite Memphis (think TED talks with beer!)

Hey, Folks,

Nerd Nite Memphis brings together a curious community through informal talks on research, culture, art, and everyday life.
Be there or/and be square! The upcoming talks:
Horses under pressure: Does social instability induce a physiological cost? by Cassandra Nuñez (UofM)
Animal populations around the world are managed with contraceptives. A favorite method stimulates females’ immune systems to keep them from getting pregnant. The thought is that treated females will exhibit normal behavior and physiology, but that they just won’t ever be “expecting”. Well, I wouldn’t be talking to you at Nerd Nite if all worked out just so. Not surprisingly, contracepted females get weird and this can affect their relationships with other females and I’m looking forward to telling you all about it!
Intermezzo: Jim Adelman
How Together We Can Build Political Will for Effective Climate Solutions Nationwide by Rachel Wiley (Citizens Climate Lobby)
We empower everyday people to work together on climate policy. Our supporters are organized in 350+ chapters across the United States building support in Congress for national bipartisan solutions to climate change.
