"Red flag" opps? The conspiracy theory about the World Trade Center (which led to two US invasions although nobody was held accountable except press versions of "Saudies" who are now and have always been favorite allies) --is that it was an inside job. The moon landing according to some sources was staged in a studio. The sinking of the Lusitania which was the excuse for World War One-- --according to conspiracy theorists-- was a ship carrying weapons with passengers as human shields. The Pearl Harbor invasion leading to the US declaration of war was known about well before the event took place yet was not stopped according to conspiracy theories. The nuclear bombing of Japan in WW2 was because the Soviets were about to invade Japan. The Holocaust gas chambers was DDT because of typhoid fever which was to save the lives of the encamptments. (That's not my claim, it is the conspiracy version). The withdrawal by the Soviets of missiles from Cuba in 1962 was contingent on the US agreeing to withdraw missiles in Turkey newly placed there threatening Russia.

Bonus: Russia is claiming that the theme the presidential candidates are raising blaming them for a lot of things is a "smokescreen" to avoid the discussion of US domestic issues and US foreign wars, funded by borrowing which has made the deficit skyrocket and people's pension plans at risk.
