Suit up, grab your badges, and charge your social batteries, because we’re heading into the glorious chaos of Planet Comicon Kansas City together.

This meetup is all about connecting with fellow fans before diving into the convention itself. Whether you’re a seasoned con-goer with a meticulously planned schedule or just here to wander wide-eyed through a sea of cosplay and collectibles, you’ll have a crew to start the adventure with. Expect a laid-back vibe, plenty of introductions, and that shared buzz of “we’re really doing this” energy.

We’ll gather at Barney Allis Plaza (1220 Wyandotte St, Kansas City, MO 64105), a large open public square right across from the Kansas City Convention Center. Look for the green space with wide concrete walkways, scattered seating areas, and a clear view of the surrounding downtown buildings. It’s an easy landmark to spot, and there’s plenty of room for our group to assemble without getting lost in the crowd.

Once everyone’s rounded up, we’ll head over to the convention together. That's when we enter a world of artists, panels, vendors, and more fandoms than you can shake a lightsaber at. Feel free to come in cosplay or just bring your enthusiasm, both are equally welcome.

Come solo or bring friends. Either way, you’ll leave with more people to geek out with by the end of the day.
