Join Ben Murphy for a walkthrough of the process of migrating from writing C/C++ code to writing Elixir code, and the benefits and lessons learned from it. C and C++ are the de-facto languages used for writing firmware code. While C still reigns as the king over extremely constrained situations, many embedded systems are now powerful enough to run code written in other languages without a problem. Elixir offers very useful abstractions while also keeping many low-level conveniences that would commonly be desired for embedded systems programming.
