Join us for a leisurely paddle from Adams Point in Durham across Great Bay to the Lamprey River. We will paddle up the Lamprey to downtown Newmarket, then return to Adams Point.
The tides will be in our favor in both directions.
Bring a lunch and we will stop for a break in downtown Newmarket and eat lunch.
The total distance of this trip will be approximately 11 Miles. Bring a snack to eat and water/beverages to consume during the paddle.
Directions to Adams Point:
*Take Route 108 to Bay Road in Newmarket.
- Turn onto Bay and follow it for about four miles. Watch for the entrance of Adams Point, a state park, just after the small bridge over Crommet Creek. There is a sign for Jackson Labs Facility - part of UNH - at that entrance. Or, on Route 108 in Durham, turn onto Durham Point Road.
- Go about three miles. Watch for the entrance of Adams Point on the left a few hundred yards after passing Dame Road on the right. There is additional parking at the top of the hill after the boat ramp.
As Always... Life Vests (PFDs) must be worn at all times while paddling with this group.
