What we’re about
Our gatherings are fun, casual, and inclusive events for young adults ages high school to 30. We host events such as game nights, craft nights, outdoor activities, special interest groups, and so much more!
Nest Gatherings is a social program sponsored by A Little Compassion Inc. and The Nest Coffee House in Deep River, CT!
Our gatherings are open to all, and we place a special emphasis on welcoming autistic and neurodivergent young adults. We strive to provide a supportive, structured environment where young adults can find a safe place to hang out and connect with peers.
The group will explore new activities and interests together. Join us for events like trivia, card games, painting, and open mic nights. Our gatherings are free. The only requirement is that you come with a nonjudgmental heart and an open mind!

Open Mic Night for Neurodivergent folx and their friends @ The Nightingale Cafe
Nightingale's Acoustic Cafe, 68 Lyme St, Old Lyme, CT, USIt's time for Open Mic Night again! Join us for music, poetry, comedy, and more. This is a free community event. Donations always welcome.

Pokemon Night! For Neurodivergent Young Adults
Essex Steam Train, 1 Railroad Avenue, Essex, CT, USCalling all Pokémon lovers! Hang out with us while we share all our favorite Pokémon games. Bring your consoles, trading cards, and more to share with peers. We'll also have some Pokémon coloring pages and games for those that just want to come and catch all the fun!
We're going to be at Essex Steam Train's new building at the Witch Hazel Works! (6 Main Str, Centerbrook, 06409) Keep a look out for a social story that will tell you where to go, where to park, what door to use and what the space looks like! We're really excited about this! We hope you are, too!
This event is free and facilitated solely by volunteers! We kindly suggest a donation of $5 per participant so that we can continue providing materials and venues for our events. We will never turn an individual away for not being able to provide a donation.
We ask that all participants be within the stated age group in order to create a positive experience for everyone. Participants are also encouraged to attend without a parent in order to foster independence and peer relationships. We do understand that a guardian and/or parental figure may be necessary for some young adults! For any questions or arrangements, please reach out to our group administrators.

Social Mixer
Coastal Academy, 141 Main Street, Deep River, CT, USWe loved the last Social Mixer, so we're doing it again!
Some of it will be the same and other parts will be different. You Must Be Signed Up To Attend! Only those signed up will be allowed in!
Firstly, we're in a new space. Come find us at Coastal Academy! (141 Main Street, Deep River)
We'll have different areas set up with different activities
1. Karaoke and Dancing! Super fun. Prep a song or just be spontaneous, we'll have a mic and music ready for you.2. Food and drink with tables to chill out at. So much fun and such tasty snacks.
3. Around the corner there will be a photo booth and games!

IF you do, sign up! But there's only 20 spots available for us. Another 10 for students and graduates of Franklin Academy and then 5 for the students at Coastal Academy.
BUT there will be a waitlist. Use it!IF you don't sign up, we won't be able to let you in. You Must register.
