Agenda:

• Discovering .NET codebases using code coverage
  Exploring and discovering unfamiliar codebases is always a challenge. In this presentation, I will introduce a novel way to explore a new codebase by looking at the code coverage using NCrunch.NET. Presented by Tore Nestenius
• Functional programming in C#
  Recent versions of the C# compiler introduce functional programming concepts such as records, tuples, pattern matching, and switch expressions. Let’s delve into these features and discover how to use them to write clear and comprehensible code.
  Presented by Johan Ohlsson
• Performance with .NET types
  In this talk, we will cover (some of) the most common performance pitfalls with basic .NET types, how to prevent them early on, and a bit on how profilers can help us to identify them later in the application lifecycle.

About the speakers:

• Tore Nestenius is an independent educator and consultant through his company TN-Datakonsult http://www.tn-data.se, where he specializes in training developers in .NET, Web Security, OpenID-Connect, architecture, and more. Tore regularly shares his knowledge about .NET on his blog https://nestenius.se, focusing on security, Azure cloud, and authentication.
• Johan Ohlsson is a software architect/developer with extensive experience within the IT-industry. He started coding back in the dark ages (the early eighties) and hasn’t stopped yet. Learning new things and sharing knowledge is as important to him as beer. Life is meaningless without it.
• Stanislav Kolbasin, is an experienced Senior Software Engineer with a demonstrated history of working in the information technology and services industry. Skilled in .NET technological stack, modern front-end technologies (React.js, native JS), and relational databases (MS SQL, Oracle, etc.). Strong engineering professional with a MS focused in Mathematics from Kharkov National University of Karazin.
