🌊 Join us for a scenic coastal hike on the dike of Marken Island! 🇳🇱
Get ready for a refreshing walk along the picturesque dike of Marken – a unique island in the north of the Netherlands, just above Amsterdam, surrounded by the tranquil waters of the Markermeer.
🥾 What to expect:
• A flat, circular route (~11.8 km)
• Stunning views over the water and countryside
• Traditional Dutch village charm in Marken
• Easy, well-marked paths – suitable for all skill levels
• Great photo spots and nature along the way 📸📍 Starting point:
Fano parking (on Zeedijk/N518, just before the causeway to Marken)
We’ll start the loop from there and walk along the dike into Marken.🕚 When:
Saturday, September 6th
Meeting time: 11:00 AM at the parking area
We will wait about 30–45 minutes before starting the hike to give everyone time to arrive, stretch, and get ready. Expected departure around 11:30–11:45.🚗 Getting there:
