Are you are looking for us to help you join or create a regular gaming group? What is your availability?

I would like to join a regular gaming group, with weekly or biweekly sessions Fri-Sat anywhere in the Randstad or surroundings. Preferred Utrecht. We can host.

What RPG games/systems do you prefer? Are there any games you are interested in trying out or playtesting?

I was out of the loop for too much time to have a clearer idea than: something fantasy, light on rules. I have read the DD v4 manual and that seems greatly simplified and enhanced over the version I played before. I would try anything, just for the fun of it.

On a scale of rules complexity/depth with 1 being rules-light and 10 being rules-heavy, how 'crunchy' do you like a roleplaying rules system to be?

5. Rules are needed to introduce a bit of framework and relieve the GM from taking every decision. They also add some realism and randomness, so increasing the fun factor. On the other hand my main interest into roleplaying is to discover/make a story, live adventures and a bit of epic conflicts. If while at that I can also save the Universe then even better :).

Do you feel able to be the GM/DM for a regular group, or GM a one-off game at a Meetup?

After getting back to speed yes, I think that would be an interesting development.

Have you ever been a GM/DM (GameMaster/DungeonMaster)? If so what systems did/do you run?

Yes, for a short time 20 years ago on a home-brew sci-fi system derived from GURPS. I did not find the experience particularly satisfying, but I'm willing to learn and retry.

I'm a 37 year old from Rome, in the Netherlands since 2010, professional software developer. I played an home-brew AD&D and Das Schwarze Auge (in italian). I have grown fond of an imaginative, storytelling gameplay as opposed to power-playing.
