Gaming in the New Year

Hi Guild members!

It's time for the Holidays and spending time with friends and family. We
hope you all have a warm and happy holiday period, and have some time to
recharge your imaginations.

The last Meetup went well, with the crescendo of the D&D campaign, space
opera tomfoolery, and some bright new faces. It was a good relaxed way to
end our Meetup year.

In the New Year, the format of the monthly Meetups will change a little.
First off, we'd like to make the gaming days a bit longer. The games all
seem to go a bit long as it is, so why not make it official? Starting in
January, we'll probably plan to run the games until 7 or 7:30.

Secondly, our Meetup campaigns will change. Petra's Necessary Evil game and
Manuel's D&D campaigns have concluded, but given the feedback we've had, we're
going to start new campaigns! The next generation of campaigns will come in
3-month blocks, so that a storyline will end at the 3-month mark, giving the
players the option to continue the same campaign, or try something new.

If you're interested in playing a regular, steady game at each Meetup, let
us know by participating in this poll:

If you want more information about the individual campaigns, a thread has
started on our message boards:

For those who just want a quick glance, here's the current list:

D&D 4E - RPGA campaign
D&D 4E - Dragonlance campaign
Legend of the Five Rings
Old-school Fantasy
Star Wars
Creepy Horror
Babylon 5

There will still be one-shot games being run, so if this list doesn't
interest you, don't worry. There will still be something for you at every

Lastly, we're dying for some feedback! How did you find our first year,
2008, and the Meetups we had? What do you want to see in 2009? A change of
venue? Board games? Kids Meetups? Social-only Meetups? Toss us an email or
start a message on the message boards to let us know.

Have a happy holiday season.

The Guildmasters.
