Join us to open up a conversation around our current read, Educated by Tara Westover with a warm and inclusive group of readers, and the whole evening is centred around the book and each other.

No requirement to finish — come wherever you are in the book, and hold onto any quote that resonated, and bring your favourite moments — since genuine impressions beat polished opinions every time.

Discussion flows wherever the group takes it — with no pressure to have a polished reading or prepared view, and the session almost always goes in a direction no one predicted.

You are welcome whether this is your first session or your fiftieth — and regular members are consistently enthusiastic about welcoming new readers, bring the book and a willingness to talk, and first-timers rarely feel like first-timers for long.

What the session looks like:

1. The session opens with a few minutes of settling in before the discussion starts
2. The conversation opens up and covers whatever the group finds most interesting
3. At some point toward the end the group votes on or suggests next month's read

💡 Pre-session tip: re-read the opening paragraph just before the session, because even one flagged passage gives you a way into the conversation, and the session repays whatever small preparation you put in.
