Drop in as we gather to explore and discuss the widely read Educated by Tara Westover in a casual and welcoming atmosphere, and first-timers always find it easy to jump in.

There is no set agenda — with the discussion shaped entirely by what people bring, and the most interesting moments never come from the planned questions.

You do not need to have finished the book, and note anything that confused or moved you, and bring your curiosities — because the book looks completely different through a new set of eyes.

This is an open group and new faces are always a good thing — and there is nothing you need to know or prepare beyond what you bring, bring whatever you managed to read and the conversation does the rest, and you will leave having said more than you thought you would.

• Your best questions and your strongest opinions
• Sticky notes or bookmarks for your favourite parts

What the session looks like:

• Arrive, grab a seat, and introduce yourself if you are new — no icebreakers, just conversation
• Members share their takes and the discussion branches out from there
• At some point toward the end the group votes on or suggests next month's read
