Connect and Grow - Eureka!
Does a scientist/entrepreneur with a good idea really see the light in a single moment? Usually not. Most good ideas or inventions only come about when you collaborate with lots of smart people.
Let's dive into some creative, professional, or personal ideas to explore. This is a casual open mic night where participants share a 5-minute personal story about an idea, a "Lightbulb Moment", that point in time when something unexpectedly clicks – like when the solution to a previously unsolvable problem jumps into your head. Or you see how things in your life link up in ways you’d never seen before. Or you realise that a question which seemed very complex is actually quite simple. Or how you come up with ideas for a business. We prioritize an open, relaxed, and non-judgemental atmosphere for sharing ideas, discussions and feedback.
Schedule
18:30 - 19:00 Welcome & Mingling
19:00 - 20:30 Open mic storytelling
20:30 Stay for the networking
Event Location
Meet in the Scalini restaurant located on the 2nd floor of the Hilton Sukhuhmit Soi 24.
There is no cost for attendance, but there is a mandatory drink policy: it means every attendee must purchase a beverage, or snack/food to support the venue. This helps keep these events running! Latecomers are not allowed to enter a session in order to prevent any noise or disruption for the people already inside.
Donation
15% of all food and drink sales generated during the event will be donated directly to the Foundation for the Education of Rural Children (https://fercthailand.org/) providing scholarships to poor rural Thai students in Northern Thailand to finish high school. Supporting education to empower individuals and strengthen communities is our group's mission.
Final thoughts
Ever walk down a big city sidewalk and see all those little odd shaped, discolored circles spattered everywhere?
Those little nasty bits of uselessness are discarded chewing gum from all the passers by going about their day.
They pop the gum in at some point feeling excited at the burst of flavor, the new buoyant texture in their mouth, all the tastebuds and senses firing in a sweet fresh symphony.
Then the gum goes stale, flat, pathetic and pointless. The previously excited person gets disgusted and spits the rotten old gum to the ground and moves on.
That’s your great idea - old, used, useless chewing gum that everyone has and will continue to have for decades and centuries to come.
Ideas are as easy and exciting as a fresh stick of gum - the hard part is not spitting it out when it gets tough, hard to chew and flavorless.
Those are the people that get rich!

Business Plan
Location not specified yetI want to start 5x once weekly, 60-minute workshops on business plan. Workshop fee per session is 500 baht x 5 sessions per attendee to be paid only when it is confirmed. I am conducting a survey to gauge the response for my business plan workshop at this stage. Date and time of first workshop are not set yet and subject to change based on response, or venue availability. A minimum number of 10 paid participants is required to start the workshop. if you are interested, please register early so that the venue and other arrangements can be made.
Imagine this scenario. You’ve somehow got a meeting with an investor.
You: “Hi, I have a great business that I’d like you fund"
Investor: “That’s great. Tell me more about the business"
You: “We’re in the (fill in the blank) business. We are 10X better than anything else out there"
Investor: “Sounds exciting. Can you show me your plan for growing your business?"
You: “Plan? I don’t have a plan"
Investor: “Come back when you have a plan, then I’ll be happy to listen"Think of it this way. You are leading people on a journey, and your plan is the guidepost for your journey.
How can you expect to get investors to follow you (or employees or customers) without a plan?
And guess what? You need a plan not for investors, but for yourself.
Before you get discouraged, and think that you have to develop a 50 page single-spaced business plan, the plan you need isn’t like that. You need a simple, easy to follow, and easy to adjust plan.Key Workshop Modules

2nd session - Marketing & Sales Strategies: Defining how to win customers.
3rd session - Financial Projections: Creating 5-year forecasts, including cash flow statements and funding requirements.
