Sips & Stitches: A Creative Crochet Social
Details
Looking for a cozy way to spend a few hours? Join us for an afternoon of sips and stitches, where we combine the relaxation of crochet with the fun of socializing over a drink.
This event is all about "creative freedom." Whether you want to follow a pattern or just enjoy the company of other makers, this is the space for you.
What we’re doing: I will be working on a Classic Granny Square Coaster and I’m more than happy to show you how to make one too! It’s a quick, satisfying project that makes a perfect gift (or a treat for your own coffee table).
Bringing your own project? Absolutely! If you’re already in the middle of a sweater, a blanket, or a hat, feel free to bring your "WIP" (Work In Progress) and crochet along with us.
What to expect:
- A Relaxed Atmosphere: Just yarn and good vibes.
- Skill Sharing: I will assist beginners in getting started with the coaster pattern. Anyone can also share their own strategies and tips.
- Socializing: Meet crafters, swap tips, or just enjoy a chat over a drink.
What to bring:
- Your favorite crochet hook and some yarn.
- If you want to make the coaster, I recommend a cotton yarn and a matching hook (usually 3.5mm - 5 mm, depending on your yarn).
- A smile and an appetite for a good drink!
Whether you’ve been crocheting for years or just bought your first hook yesterday, come hang out and get creative with us.
Since moving here, I’ve been looking for a crochet event to join; since I couldn't join one, I decided to organize one myself!
