Neuro Art Nexus - A monthly speaker series and community meeting alternating online/in-person for those interested in neuroscience and art

This month, we are excited to announce that Dr. Amelia McConville will give an insightful presentation on the connection between Neuroscience and Poetry.

Is there any connection between poetry and neuroscience?
Both disciplines stake their claims to tackle some of the most fundamental questions at the heart of being human, but have historically been siloed into two cultures. Recent developments in art-science approaches, novel methodologies, and more holistic approaches to knowledge-making have seen the two fields come into conversation in fascinating ways, revealing further commonalities and contentions.

In this talk, Dr Amelia McConville draws on the expertise gleaned from her PhD project – which combined visual poetry and visual poetics with Neurohumanities – to revisit the philosophical dimensions underlying the combination of these oft-polarised subjects in light of recent scholarship.

After the talk there will be community networking.

When: April 28th, 7:00 pm
Where: Eye Square, Schlesische Straße 29/30 F 10997 Berlin Germany
Registration: 6€ via Eventbrite. Free for EDGE members
