Αbout the Talk
This month, Mahzabin will be giving a talk titled “Ecologies of Care, Unlearning the Grid: Curating at the Edges of Art, Science, Technology, and Beyond.” In this lecture, she will explore curatorial practice as a form of communal world-building that resists extractive logics and disciplinary enclosures. Drawing from fourteen years of cultivating translocal networks and infrastructures of reciprocity, Mahzabin will trace how art, science, and technology can be entangled in ways that generate care, decentralize knowledge, and open space for the otherwise. Her projects — from global grassroots platforms to forthcoming experimental hubs in Berlin — propose curating not as representation, but as an ecology: porous, shared, and always in the making**.**

Mahzabin Haque (@mahzabinhaque) is a Berlin-based curator, engineer, and researcher whose practice is rooted in building inclusive, self-sustaining communities at the intersection of art, science, and technology. For over fourteen years, she has brought together artists, technologists, and researchers in collaborative frameworks that foster trust, mutual care, and long-term exchange. Her work is guided by a commitment to accessibility, the decentralization of knowledge, and the belief that art can be a catalyst for collective learning and equitable futures.

She is the founder of All About Curating (@aac), a decentralized curatorial network active in 154 countries, which connects practitioners across geographies and disciplines through open knowledge-sharing, peer support, and collaborative programming. AAC functions as both a global platform and a grassroots community, creating opportunities for dialogue between diverse cultural contexts and enabling curators and artists to co-develop projects beyond market-driven systems.

Mahzabin is also the initiator of Symbiosis: A Space for Art, Science & Technology, a forthcoming Berlin-based platform set to launch in January 2026. Designed as a site for transdisciplinary inquiry and community engagement, Symbiosis will provide physical and conceptual space for artists, scientists, and technologists to work together on inclusive, non-hierarchical models of creative production, with a particular focus on non-Western media art histories.

With a multidisciplinary background in the arts, engineering, and photography, Mahzabin develops research-driven programs, fellowships, and public initiatives that not only present artistic work but also actively cultivate communities of practice. Across all her projects, she emphasizes relationship-building, reciprocity, and shared ownership—laying the groundwork for artistic ecosystems that can thrive collectively, in Berlin and beyond.

After the talk there will be community networking.
