Movement Studies
Details
This is a recurring event where we discuss past and present social movements; the philosophies and theories behind them; and the contexts in which they exist. From the Black Panthers, to the Landless Workers' Movement, to the Knights of Labor, to Kerala—we'll be looking at what has and hasn't been successful in leftist action, to better our own praxis.
For this event we'll be discussing the book "Settlers: The Mythology of the White Proletariat" by J. Sakai (you don't have to have read the book to attend :)
We'll be using Discord for the call. You can access our server with the link below. https://discord.com/invite/h9uUm5yrf2
We'll be using the channel named "•general-voice".
