What we’re about
NeuroSparks is a welcoming Meetup group in Melbourne for neurodivergent adults, including those with autism, ADHD, AuDHD, and other forms of neurological or cognitive diversity. If you are exploring your identity or know you are neurodivergent, you are welcome here.
We host inclusive, social, and empowering events such as workshops, casual hangouts, and community meetups, designed to support connection, self-awareness, and authentic expression without pressure to mask.
Join us to meet others who get it, share experiences, and build community in a space that values neurodivergent strengths and lived experience.

NeuroSparks Christmas Barbecue Picnic 🧺🎄🍽️
Albert Park Lake - Coot Picnic Area, Aughtie Drive, (near Reed Bed islands), Albert Park, AUWith Christmas just around the corner, it’s the perfect time for Neurosparkles’ first ever barbecue picnic right next to beautiful Albert Park Lake! Come down, enjoy the sunshine, meet new people and have some great food.
When: Saturday 13th December
Time: 1:00pm to 4:30pm (come and go anytime)
Where: Coot Picnic Area – Albert Park (APL 102), look for a group of people sitting or standing around and one of the hosts wearing a Christmas hat!

What to bring (optional):
• A dish, snacks, or drinks to enjoy or share
• Picnic mats, foldable chairs, or blankets
• Games or cards if you’d like to keep things lively
Remember to stay hydrated, wear a hat, and apply sunscreen and insect repellent. In case of poor weather or extreme heat, we will reschedule the event.
Nearest transport:
- Route 96 tram (Stop 129 - MSAC) then 3 minute walk
- Route 12 tram (Stop 131 – MSAC/Aughtie Drive/Albert Road) then 6 minute walk
- (Public transport is free across Victoria on Saturday 13th December!)
- Parking - $6.20 all day parking at nearby Lakeside Stadium, ticket must be displayed on dashboard
To ensure other people can attend and for catering purposes, if you no longer are able to attend, please change the RSVP to "Not attending".
If at any point you have concerns or are made to feel uncomfortable by about group member, please notify one of the organisers.
