Berlin Neurodivergent Pride Celebration Day

Details

Neurodiversity Pride Day, Berlin 2023

We invite you to join us on June 16th, 2023 from 18:00 at the Altes Museum (terasse), to celebrate Neurodiversity Pride Day.
Everyone under the ND umbrella is welcome (ASD, ADHD, ADD, OCD, Tourette, Discalculia, Disgraphia, Dislexia, etc)

It’s a day to embrace and honor our unique self, our differences, to stand together in solidarity, to appreciate the beauty and strength of neurodiversity, to celebrate with love, laughter, joy and unmasking.

Before you arrive:

  • We are going to meet at the terasse of Altes Museum and then when the sky is clear, we can have an outdoor picnic in front of the Altes Museum: please bring your own blankets or camping chairs, and food and drink to share with the group.
  • Dress up: wear something that you feel is best expressing you as a neurodivergent or your exact ND condition. Also be prepared for rainy day.
  • You can dress up to express your special interest
  • You can choose a color that you feel is best expressing your neurodiversity.
So far there is only 2 official colors: gold for autism, orange for ADHD. There are many ND conditions, combination of conditions and no official assigned color for every single one – feel free to claim your colors!
  • Bring your own ND flag/poster: create your unique flag or poster which is showcasing your ND motto in written form or as a picture.

Feel free to bring balloons, games, badminton, kite, etc (or sunscreen if you prefer just to enjoy the sun on your blanket)

At the event:

  • Group art: we are going to paint our group banner
  • Rapid rounds: we will pair up and change talking partners in every 5 minutes. You can share your special interests, new hobbies to find people you can connect further for future activities

And of course as always, there will be opportunities to connect, share best practices. Please keep in mind that during this event we would like to focus on the positive aspects of neurodiversity, and celebrate ourselves.

The exact location will be shared shortly with the attendees.
