What do political collaboration, economic equality, and a sense of community have in common? In the 2020 book “The Upswing: How America Came Together a Century Ago and How We Can Do It Again,” Robert D. Putnam and Shaylyn Romney Garrett traced all three of these in the USA over the past century and a half. We will use this meeting to bounce off of elements of their book and have a conversation all are invited to participate in. You are not required to read the book to attend or participate. And no, the authors will not be joining us!
