Communication without Chaos
Details
Ever want to join a conversation but don’t know what to say?
Maybe you stay quiet because you feel shy, struggle to find an opening, or only work out what you wanted to say after the conversation has ended. Or perhaps your thoughts make sense internally but become tangled when you try to explain them.
This workshop is for all of those experiences.
Join Neurospicy in Bayside for a practical, relaxed communication workshop with Stephen Lakey, a communication coach and keynote speaker who helps people communicate with greater clarity and confidence.
This will not be a theory-heavy session. Stephen will share simple techniques for starting conversations, organising your thoughts, speaking up and knowing how to contribute in different situations.
Most importantly, you’ll have opportunities to practise through one-on-one exercises and group discussions. You can experiment, receive supportive feedback and learn from how other people approach communication.
What we’ll explore
• Starting and joining conversations
• Working out what to say when your mind goes blank
• Organising your thoughts without overthinking
• Expressing ideas clearly
• Building confidence in social and professional conversations
• Practising through one-on-one conversations and group discussions
What to expect
A relaxed, neurodivergent-friendly environment with no pressure to perform. You can participate, observe, take breaks and engage at your own pace. Speaking exercises are encouraged but never compulsory.
