Join us in our next Never Mind the Buzzwords session, where Julie will be joined by Becky Turner, Workplace Psychologist with Claremont, as they discuss the changing landscape of workplaces and the move towards a different style.

We’re hearing a lot about the ‘human-centric workplace’, especially in this new world of working. However, much of the discussion around workplace design still centres around people-to-desk ratios, spaces to collaborate, and often, a mandated return to the office. Claremont were keen to explore the deeper, human experience in the workplace, including how people would like to feel (or not feel!) when they go to the office – so they independently commissioned a survey, reaching over 1000 office workers (hybrid or full-time office-based) and, from the data, identified 6 key feelings that they seek from a positive and productive workplace experience.

We’ll discuss these 6 feelings, why they’re so important in the workplace, and how the intentional design of a workplace can contribute to evoking these reactions and keep people wanting to return to the office.

About Becky Turner:
Having worked in a variety of sectors and roles, I’ve always gravitated to psychology both in academic and work settings – I just love people and behaviour! I’m currently working as a Workplace Psychologist at Claremont, where we design and build Destination Offices for a huge variety of organisations. I work closely with our Workplace Consultancy team and Interior Design team to support the process of creating bespoke destination workplaces for our wonderful clients, and supporting their people through the process of (what can be a complex) organisational change.
Alongside work, I’m a Futsal goalkeeper-turned coach, an artist, and a dog-mum to the most lovely Labrador, Seth.
