Relationships in Boomerland, Part I

Details

Why are relationships with and among Boomers so different from those of ensuing generations? Google "Boomer Relationships" and you'll likely hit a barrage of online comments about how later generations find us so annoying, pedantic, and close-minded. In fact, many Boomers bemoan the fact that their grown children and younger coworkers or acquaintances routinely respond to them with eye-rolls or palpable resentment.

And yet, we Boomers truly value, even love the all-in way we conduct our relationships at home, in the workplace, and within family, friendship, and romance. We are mystified by what we see as the strange relationship habits of Millennials and Gens X,Y, and Z. Are we simply misunderstood and unappreciated? According to one Millennial at least, the answer to that is Yes!

So, before we reconvene our group, please Google the online revelation: "Boomers are better at building and maintaining relationships than younger generations" and take a quick read. (Try to highlight/copy/paste into your Google search box.)

Then make sure to join us for our next candid discussion about the unique and rapidly vanishing Boomer relationship style, because human interaction may never be quite the same after we're gone!
