Are you interested in a career as a Plumber, Electrician, Mechanic, Autobody Technician, Cook, Baker, or other skilled trades? Join us to learn how to start an apprenticeship and how to challenge a trade if you have previous experience. Topics include the labour market outlook, financial supports, strategies to find a sponsor employer, accommodations, and ESL options. A Q&A session will be included. Our speaker, Samantha, is an Apprenticeship Advisor at Skilled Trades BC with extensive experience supporting apprentices and challengers to certification.

BC Newcomer Services Program (BCNSP - formerly known as BCSIS) is one of the many programs within S.U.C.C.E.S.S., a multicultural, multi-service social service agency. BCNSP is funded by the Ministry of Municipal Affairs to provide support to post-secondary international students, foreign workers who hold a valid work permit, PNP applicants, refugee claimants and naturalize citizens in employment, settlement, and exploring immigration pathways.
