NB: Not at the previous Shirkers Rest venue but that does mean the evening WILL include a screening of this "breathtaking" 1h21m philosophical cult classic, in German with English subtitles. Written and directed by future Cloud Atlas co-director Tom Tykwer, Run Lola Run stars Franka Potente, Moritz Bleibtreu and a relentless electronic soundtrack accompanying Lola's near-continuous race against time through the streets of Berlin - described as “Dazzling! Playfully profound!" by The New York Times.

This free 15-cert screening is organised by the Deptford Library Cinema Club and takes place on a wide-screen TV in one of their mid-sized meeting rooms - there's no need to book but places are limited so please arrive on time to be sure of a seat. "Bring a friend if you like," says the official website, along with more details of their weekly programme:

The library usually closes fairly soon after the screening but there's also the possibility of a post-film "sensible mid-week drink" soon after 7.30pm in Badger Badger the other side of the railway bridge on Deptford High St.
