It's been way too long ...

Let's get together for a sunrise shoot at Great Meadows National Wildlife Refuge in Concord, MA!

This date should give us a good chance at photographing marsh wrens but red-winged blackbirds will also still be around and other opportunities are certainly possible.

Longer focal length lenses will maximize your opportunities with these small birds but shorter lenses will still allow you to create more environmental types of images. The ideal set up would be a combination of camera body and lens that would give you a minimum 35mm equivalent of 500-600mm. All levels are welcome from beginners to experienced shooters.

We will meet in the main parking lot at 5:15 AM and head out onto the Dike Trail. Depending on the light and the weather, we will likely shoot until around 8:15 AM. If you arrive late, it should be fairly easy to catch up with us on the Dike Trail.

This is not intended to be an instructional workshop but I will be available to answer questions or provide assistance with your camera equipment as needed.

I will check the conditions and the weather the day before and send out a cancellation notice if necessary.

I have set an attendance limit of 25 on this event, mainly due to the limited parking available. Please consider carpooling if convenient.
