30th Anniversity Nashua Winter Stroll
Details
The event takes place each year on the Saturday after Thanksgiving; and although it started small, it has steadily grown through the years.
The Stroll is recognized as the largest community event of the year in Southern New Hampshire. Each year, over 30,000 people from across New England visit downtown Nashua to enjoy this free and family-friendly holiday event. The evening kicks off at 5 p.m. with a candlelit procession up Main Street from City Hall to Railroad Square where the City’s official Christmas tree is lit. Much of the downtown is closed to traffic for the evening, so even after the tree lighting Strollers can enjoy the live entertainment, sample offerings from street vendors, dine in downtown’s fine restaurants and Shop Small at our unique specialty shops and boutiques.

Entertainment:
The Winter Holiday Stroll kicks off each year with a candle lit procession lead by Santa, which leaves City Hall promptly at 5pm. Thousands of candles and diyas are handed out at City Hall Plaza beginning at 4pm.
The candle lit procession from City Hall, heads down Main Street to the Hunt Memorial Building, where attendees gather for the City Christmas Tree lighting.

Winter Holiday Stroll Craft Fair:
St Patrick’s Church generously opened their doors to invite Strollers in out of the cold to enjoy the Holiday entertainment featured there, along with the traditional Holiday Stroll Craft Fair. Strollers were able to support local craftsmen, get respite from the cold, and enjoy this wonderful addition to the stroll!
Street Closures & Parking:
Main Street and the surrounding roads closed at 3:00pm, but several parking lots around downtown were open during the Stroll: Elm Street Parking Garage, High Street Parking Garage (accessible from westbound direction and via Factory Street), Spring Street Surface Lot, and the Parking Lots at the Nashua Public Library/30 Temple Street. We encouraged everyone to take advantage of the ample parking and free shuttles available at Rivier University and Holman Stadium. Shuttles ran from 4:00-10:30pm.
Note: If you get there early enough there is parking at the library parking lot. That's why we meet at this location.
