Panagiotis Lalezas lecture & Greek night in Cambridge

Details
Listen, learn, and enjoy as acclaimed vocalist Panayotis Lalezas guides you on a Greek musical journey featuring traditional styles from the entire mainland as well as the Cyclades, Asia Minor, and even early rebetiko. Joined by Vasilis Kostas on laouto, Stavros Pappas on clarinet, and Lefteris Kordis on keys, this rare infusion of lecture and performance comes to Cambridge on September 25.
From 3-5 p.m., Lalezas will conduct a lecture/demonstration on Greek music, with instrumental accompaniment.
The dance begins at 7 p.m. on the 2nd floor of the GAPC, featuring cash bar and a huge dance floor.
Tickets are $20 for the lecture, $20 for the dance, or $35 for both events (dance ticket price will increase at the door), and are available online at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/boston-lykeion-ellinidon-presents-panagiotis-lalezas-tickets-27666368854.
George Dalaras described Lalezas as "perhaps the best [Greek] musician I have encountered in recent years." Whether you attend the lecture, the dance, or both, you'll be sure to come away with new appreciation for Greek music. This will be a truly fantastic opportunity to celebrate Greek culture and the start of fall together!
