Boston Impact Initiative - Fund II and New CEO
Details
Join us for a virtual fireside talk with Betty Francisco, CEO of Boston Impact Initiative, as she discusses the organization's new impact fund - BII Fund II (https://bostonimpact.org/invest-in-us/fund-ii/). This $20 million integrated capital fund is focused on equity capital and doubles down on BII's racial justice mission by investing primarily patient equity into early-stage social enterprises owned by entrepreneurs of color and community-owned or controlled real estate in Massachusetts and the Northeast.
Betty will share insights on how this innovative fund will help to promote economic and social change in the Boston area and the Northeast, and how it will support underrepresented entrepreneurs in their efforts to create positive impact in their communities. In addition, Betty will share from her experience as a new CEO and we'll be eager to hear her views on entrepreneurship, impact investing, and community leadership.
This will be a valuable opportunity for impact investors, social entrepreneurs, and community leaders to learn more about this exciting new initiative and to connect with one another.

To accomplish this mission, BII invests integrated capital in social enterprises and community-controlled real estate to increase wealth and asset-building opportunities for communities of color.
