The Hiker's Virtual Book Club is back for a final bonus installment of this year's book club. This time we'll be discussing Andrea Lankford's book, **Trail of the Lost: The Relentless Search to Bring Home the Missing Hikers of the Pacific Crest Trail.** This book by a former park ranger tells the story of her quest to find hikers who disappear while hiking the Pacific Crest Trail. Teaming up with an eclectic crew of investigators she tells the real-life story of what hiking the trail is like and what it takes to be able to find missing hikers. This is definitely a different story from many of the books we have read...what makes it fascinating is that it's all true. Do not expect any happy endings, but do expect to learn a lot!

If you haven’t used Zoom before, you’ll be prompted to install the client software when you click on the link. Depending upon the device you are using (laptop, Mac, tablet, smart phone, etc.) the install will vary, so please pay attention. Depending upon the device you use, you could encounter problems with Zoom, so I won’t make any promises about how well your experience will be. You might want to have an alternate device to use if the first one proves not to work well with Zoom. Try connecting to the meeting a short time before it starts to confirm that you don't have any issues.

When the session starts please use good phone etiquette. There will be up to twenty of us and only one conversation. Please be patient. Everyone will have a chance to speak. When not speaking, you might want to mute yourself.

Feel free to consume your favorite beverage, alcoholic or not, during the event. Put on your comfy pants, relax and talk about something other than the coronavirus for a while!
