Sunday, July 23 - Balloon Events (Weather Permitting)

5:30 AM Weather Briefing for Pilots

Pilots will assess the weather and if all clear prepare for takeoff!

6:00 AM - Hot Air Balloon Inflate

Watch as the pilots inflate their balloons.

6:00 AM - 8:00 AM - Tethered Balloon Rides

This is your chance to ride high in a tethered balloon. Speak to the pilot and schedule your takeoff. Weather permitting. Additional fees apply.

11:00 AM - 6:00 PM - Rag Bag

This is your chance to get up close and actually get inside a hot air balloon!

Dusk - Hot Air Balloon Glow

Watch as the night lights up with the vibrant colors of the hot air balloons at dusk. You won’t want to miss it!

7:00 PM - 9:00 PM - Tethered Balloon Rides

This is your chance to ride high in a tethered balloon. Speak to the pilot and schedule your takeoff. Weather permitting. Additional fees apply.

Obviously, weather is the major factor for this event. Last minute RSVPing and cancellation is expected. Do RSVP though, this helps with creating car pools and connecting with other members once there. I always find it more fun to shoot with others, sharing ideas and answering questions.

This is a good event to bring along a polarization filter and maybe a tripod for shooting after dusk.
