In this workshop we will review the skills and visual tools you have to conceive and execute a well composed photograph.

In the PHOTO COMPOSITION & DESIGN (http://events.r20.constantcontact.com/register/event?llr=ge666leab&oeidk=a07e4l44x77888e151b) class we will cover the principles of design and the creative options you have with your digital camera. We will discuss the “rules” of composition and how to apply them to your photography design process. Digital photography is a powerful medium for personal expression and how you compose an image, is how you reveal your creativity. My objective as a photo educator is to help you develop the skills to allow you to make the images you imagine, to take control of your creative process. Composition is a fundamental photographer skill.

Some of the topics we will cover include:

THE “RULES” OF COMPOSITION COLOR AND TONAL EFFECTS LENS SELECTION OPTICAL EFFECTS AND CONTROLS BEST PRACTICES The format if this workshop is primarily dialogue with projected information and example images. Although there is not much hand-on in this session I would recommend bringing you camera so you can review the controls and techniques your camera provides. You will also be provided a class handout to follow the visual presentation and including some practice exercises for future use. This class is open to adult photographers of all skill levels.

This class will be held at the TEST of TIME PHOTO studio in Nashua, NH (http://maps.google.com/maps?q=test+of+time+photography+nashua+nh&hl=en&z=15) on Wednesday September 14, 2011 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The cost for this workshop is $45 per person and payment is required to register.
