UNDERSTANDING EXPOSURE workshop

The ability to make good exposures is a fundamental skill for photographers. How well we measure and record light with our cameras at the point of exposure is critical to the quality of our results. Correct and accurate exposure is the foundation of all good photography.

This workshop breaks down this complex topic into its base components and integrates them into your overall creative photographic process. Exposure is a technical component of image making but it also key to your creative results.

Some of the topics we will cover include:

THE EXPOSURE FORMULA
MEASURING LIGHT- METERING TECHNIQUES
ISO SELECTION
UNDERSTANDING AND USING HISTOGRAMS
EXPOSURE COMPENSATION

There is not much hand-on in this session I would recommend bringing you camera so you can review the controls and techniques your camera provides. You will also be provided a class handout to follow the visual presentation and including some practice exercises for future use. This class is open to adult photographers of all skill levels.

This class will be held at the TEST of TIME PHOTO studio in Nashua, NH (http://maps.google.com/maps?q=test+of+time+photography+nashua+nh&hl=en&z=15) on Tuesday September 27, 2011 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The cost for this workshop is $45 per person and payment is required to register.
