Discussion Group on Satisfaction, Purpose, Value & Hope

Come and enjoy the discussion. Over 4 weeks, we'll discuss where we can find satisfaction, purpose, value and hope. We'll hear the Christian claims to offer of each of those, and have a chance to discuss and chip in our own thoughts. This group is run by Christians but it is mainly for people who are not Christians - every perspective is welcome.

What happens during the group:

• We'll meet at 1pm and have a homemade hot lunch.
• Someone will give a short talk opening up the topic. e.g. why we so often feel something's missing in our lives or we'd be happy if we only had X or Y.
• We discuss it in pairs or 3s. Everyone getting to chip in their opinions, or sit back and listen to others if that suits you better. You won't be put on the spot.
• Someone will give a short explanation of what Christianity brings to the table on that topic.
• More time to discuss in 2s or 3s.
• We'll hear an interview of someone sharing their own story relating to that topic.
• There'll be a Q&A on that topic, and also any questions about the Christian faith. No question is too simple or too hostile.
• We're all finished up by 3pm. Often people like hanging out for an extra half hour or so, enjoying each other's company.
• After lunch, there's free childcare if you need that. Children join in for the lunch.

The group will run for 4 Sundays. We suggest you come for the first one and see what you think. Almost everyone who comes loves it and wants to come to the other 3, but it's nice to be able to try it out first.
