First hike of the summer!
Each summer, I organize a handful of hikes for NewFriendsMKE, and they always seem to be a hit with both new and regular members.
Our first hike of the summer will be this Saturday at 12:30 PM.
We will meet outside Bartolotta’s Lake Park Bistro, which is pictured in the event listing. There is a parking lot there, along with plenty of street parking nearby. The address listed for the event should take you right to the meeting spot, and I will make sure the group is easy to find.
This will be a fun, relaxed way to get outside, enjoy some fresh air, and meet new people. Whether you are brand new to the group or have been to several events before, this is a great event to attend. It is completely okay to show up alone as MOST people do!
The hike will be approximately 2 miles. The current path I am planning has a difficulty level of about 7/10, so please wear comfortable shoes and be prepared for some hills, stairs, or uneven terrain.
A few things to know:
- This is a free event.
- Feel free to bring a friend even if your friend is a dog!
